Maryland born director, Christopher Robinson II is affectionately and ironically known as “Lil Chris” at Robot. His father Chris Robinson is the founder of the Robot Film Company and having visited sets from a very young age, Lil Chris eventually began working in film as a teenager. Although not aspiring to be an actor, he won a roll in the feature film “ATL”, where he says he learned the best lesson of his young career watching the crew work together so closely; "collaboration." Lil Chris sites Paul Thomas Anderson, Diane Martel, Hayao Miyazaki, Quentin Tarantino and his father Chris Robinson as inspirational filmmakers. He studied film and advertising at Art Center College of Design in the Los Angeles area. Lil Chris says "Telling compelling stories is my singular passion. Whether 30 seconds or two hours, a linear narrative or just visuals that communicate – it’s about storytelling for me."
